There is much added excitement in the family and everyone wants to have a glimpse of the new member. Friends, relatives, close acquaintances and even people at your work place want to visit and welcome your baby.
But in all this excitement one has to keep in mind that the mother has gone through a lot physically, mentally and emotionally. She is drained and needs the much required time to cope with everything about and around the baby.
The baby too needs time to adjust to the environment and is very vulnerable to unwanted infections.
