Tips to consider while choosing the best preschool for your child

Are you anxious about sending your kids to preschool/playschool!?

There is thousands of schools/daycare available that makes you super confused to choose the best one for your kid! Trust me, even I'm in the same boat!

My kids are turning into 3 soon and it's high time that I think of their school seriously!!

So here are few points that I have in my mind while I'm searching for their school:

The most important one for me is the location.

I want their school to be as close to our house as possible so that the commute can be easier and I can rush immediately whenever there is any emergency! So based on your preferences, do choose the location either close to your house, workplace or close to any metro station etc.

The second most important factor is to choose what type of school you want for your kids!?

There are so many categories like Montessori, child centric, early activities and so on! So you and your partner sit and decide what’s best for your kid!

Once you have decided on the above, the next thing is for how many hours you want your kid to be in school!?

Is it for 3 hours, 2 hours or half day! Decide this based on what suits you and your kids the best!

The next major and time consuming step is to do your research:

Try talking to your friends, have a look at your locality, ask anyone you know about the schools that are nearby, look up in the internet and make a list of the shortlisted schools..

Next important factor is the fee structure:

Make a call to the shortlisted schools and ask for their fees. It helps you to filter further based on your budget.

Next is to make a visit to the school to check:

if everything is as per your requirement/expectation! Spend at least an hour in the premises to see how the staffs are, whether the place is neat and clean, how the classroom set up is, are they kid friendly! Just stay there and have a close watch!

Talk to their management:

about the safety of the students and also regarding the transportation methods and other safety measures.

Once you are personally satisfied:

next get your kids along and let them wander around and explore the place! Ask for a trial class to see how your kid reacts to the atmosphere.

Make sure that, the school that you decide on also be ensure outside play and have a good ratio of teachers to students!

Lastly, trust your motherly instincts!:

How you personally feel when you are there in the premises and what you think of the staff and teachers over there matters a lot!! Trust your instincts and decide wisely!
